About Vicky Nunn
Vicky’s path to law started long before she became an attorney. Growing up, she watched her father, Attorney Ken Nunn, build a personal injury law firm devoted to helping injured people across Indiana. She saw his hard work, his commitment to his clients, and the way he treated people who came to the office during difficult times.
Before becoming an Indiana personal injury lawyer, Vicky graduated from Indiana University in 1985 and spent 12 years teaching kindergarten. Her years as a teacher still shape the way she works with clients today. As a teacher, she learned how important it is to listen and understand what someone needs so she can help make their life better. She brings that same patience and care to her work as an attorney.
After several talks with her father, Vicky decided to attend law school and begin a second career in personal injury law. She was sworn in as an Indiana attorney and joined the Ken Nunn Law Office in 2004.
Learning the Firm From the Ground Up
Vicky first joined the Ken Nunn Law Office after she graduated from law school, but before she had taken the bar exam. While studying for the bar, she began working as an entry-level staff member.
That experience gave her a close look at how the office served clients at every stage of a case. She learned how new clients are signed up, how cases are prepared, how evidence is gathered, and how personal injury lawsuits move through the legal process. She helped with interrogatories and discovery, assisted other attorneys with building their cases, and worked closely with clients so she could learn from them too.
Vicky passed the bar in September 2004 and began working on cases of her own soon after. Today, even while she leads the office, she continues to carry a caseload and work closely with her clients.
Lessons from 20+ Years Working with Ken
Vicky worked beside her father for more than two decades. During that time, Ken taught her that clients are always the top priority, to always fight hard for their clients, and to make sure clients know they aren’t just a number on a page.
Another lesson she learned from Ken is that family is most important. She noticed that Ken treated clients just like family. He often worked late into the evening, calling clients, asking how they were doing, and taking a personal interest in what they were going through after an accident. He would also take time to share stories, laughs, and favorite music with clients, just to help them feel like family.
He understood that personal injury law isn’t just about paperwork or court deadlines. It’s about real people who have been through traumatic experiences, and it’s an attorney’s job to help clients every step of the way.
These lessons and the other knowledge Vicky gained from working with her dad are priceless to her. She uses these skills every day as she works to continue the Ken Nunn Law Office’s success.
What Personal Injury Law Means to Vicky
To Vicky, being a personal injury lawyer means getting to help people on the worst days of their lives. It’s more than just collecting evidence, negotiating, or filing lawsuits; it’s about what the injuries take from accident victims. Things like doing the job you spent years training for, waking up without pain, going for a run, dancing at a wedding, holding a loved one, driving yourself to work, or a thousand other small moments.
Vicky knows how much dealing with the aftermath of an accident hurts and how much it means to have someone on your side. She believes in giving all she can to guide, support, and fight for her clients.
Why Work with Attorney Vicky Nunn
Vicky brings a unique perspective to her work as a personal injury attorney. As a mother, former teacher, and longtime advocate for injured people, she understands how important it is to listen carefully, explain things clearly, and meet people where they are.
Vicky deeply cares about the individuals and families who come to her, and not just the details of their cases. She wants clients to feel comfortable asking questions, speaking honestly, and knowing that someone is truly paying attention to what they need. To Vicky, her clients are family. She has made it her mission to care for each person as if she were their daughter, sister, or mother. She gives all she can to fight for her client’s success.
Leading the Ken Nunn Law Office Forward
After taking over as owner, Vicky now leads the Ken Nunn Law Office into its next chapter. The firm’s mission is still to serve clients to the best of our ability. For almost six decades, that has been our legacy, and Vicky is committed to protecting the values that made the Ken Nunn Law Office what it is today. She’s also committed to innovation and preparing the firm for the future.
Vicky wants the team to keep finding strong ideas and strategies that help injured people recover after an accident. Vicky is also working to bring new tools into the firm’s daily processes. That includes new technology and legal software that will help the team stay organized, communicate with clients, and keep cases moving. After all, improving how the firm serves clients is just another part of honoring its roots.
Vicky looks forward to making the Ken Nunn Law Office a multi-generational powerhouse of personal injury lawyers. Her children are pursuing legal education, and she hopes to bring them onto the team soon.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, Vicky enjoys spending time with her family and watching reality TV. One quote that has stayed with her over the years is, “All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten.” For Vicky, that idea is a reminder to work hard, care for others, and keep showing up for the people who need you.
