The hardships that follow a serious accident can’t be overstated. Lives can truly be turned upside down, especially if there’s an injury involved. But sometimes accidents can also illustrate just how caring and giving the people of Indiana truly are. We often rally around one another when we’re affected by serious accidents, and the caring nature of our citizens even extends to more than just humans.
Several volunteers showed up to a Brownsburg neighborhood to help look for a lost dog that was thrown from a car after a major accident. The little beagle was ejected from his owner’s car along Interstate 74 and couldn’t be found. Nearly seventeen people arrived on the scene to search through the snow for the missing pup. There have since been sightings of the animal, but he’s not making it easy on those looking for him. He’s incredibly skittish and runs away when approached.
The search for the animal continued through the weekend, but as of Sunday he was yet to be caught. While he may not be home to his owner just yet, it’s nice to hear that so many people in the community care about his safe return. When it comes to caring about our own, whether it’s a person or an animal, Hoosiers are always ready to lend a helping hand.
