Injury Attorney Ken Nunn has teamed with Indiana University to make Assembly Hall safer for all those that come to enjoy IU Basketball games. Navigating the stadium’s steep stairs and aisles will be a little bit easier now that 350 new handrails are being installed.
Slip & falls are some of the most common accidents in Indiana and often result in painful, even life-altering, injuries. Inadequate railing is a big cause of these accidents, and the new rails at Assembly Hall will hopefully provide fans with a safer environment when enjoying the events on Branch McCracken Court.
The handrails, considered a ‘long overdue addition’ by University officials, have been made possible by a gift from Ken Nunn, a longtime fan of IU Basketball and Indiana University. “It’s my honor to provide this ability to help folks get up and down these steps,” said Nunn.
The rails will, of course, be painted IU red and will be placed on the center aisle on both sides of the stadium. Officials say the new handrails will add a helpful measure of safety for attendees and promise that they won’t be blocking anyone’s view from the exciting action of an IU Basketball game.
